From 1985-1989 he was education secretary and deputy general secretary for NATFHE. Responsibilities included heading the professional services section of the trade union for lecturers and acting as a deputy to the general secretary. During political period of intense hostility towards and suspicion of Trade Unions his role to influence policy development and represent the membership on a number of national bodies.

Mr.Mervyn Sookun has a BSc (Econ) and Msc (Econ) from school of economic. He has 25 years of experience as a lecturer in management and accounting field. He has extensive professional and post graduate teaching experience in ACCA, ICSA, and CIM.

    He was also a lecturer in different UK universities such as Hull, Lincolnshire, Oxford Brookes, Heriot-Watt, Wales (Cardiff) Glamorgan, East London, Sunderland, London Metropolitan, Northumbria, and Huddersfield.
  • He has teaching experiences in overseas countries like Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore, Hong-Kong, India etc.
  • He also worked as a consultant in different investment and insurance companies.
  • Mr. Sookun is involved in many general management, directorship and entrepreneurial activities in different organisations.

 

J Malcolm Dean FFA FIAB Senior Consultant

In addition he was consulted by the Accounting Society of China (which is part of the Ministry of Finance of the Peoples Republic of China), in the development an accounting qualifications framework for accountants. The agreement is to assist in the development of an accounting and qualifications framework for Accountants working in the emerging small and medium size enterprises in China that have resulted from the change in the market economy.

J Malcolm Dean FFA, FIAB has been the Chief Executive of the International Association of Book-keepers for the past 12 years, and has been responsible for the development of the IAB both in the UK and overseas.

To assist this development he has worked and co-operated with government departments, other professional bodies, employers and business organisations. He is a member of the of the PARN (Professional Associations Research Network) Steering Group, which is a top-level academic association serving the full range of professions across the UK and abroad.

As well as colleges and training providers in the UK, Malcolm Dean has worked and been involved with those in other countries around the world, particularly in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Russia.

 

Anifowose-Kelani JCI Senator Tunde

Had Bachelor Degre in Education with Specialisation in Guidance and Counseling, Communication and Language Arts.
He Holds a Masters Degree In Personnel Psychology at the First University in Nigeria- University of Ibadan.
He was a Prime Graduate and Certified Trainer of Junior Chamber International University Chesterfield USA.
He was the 2005 National President of Junior Chamber International Nigeria, the largest youth organisation and the First NGO in Nigeria.
He won award as the Best JCI member in Nigeria in 1998.
He won awards For Nigeria as the Best in Community Development and Environment in Africa and Middle East at the JCI Conference 2005.
He is the MD/CEO Siegener Sabithos Nigeria and United Kingdom.
He is the Nigerian Student Facilitators for Ethames Graduate School, City Of london College and GuildHall College United Kingdom.
